
BMAC served as the consultant engineer for podium/deck over commercial unit remediation. Initial investigation was done to review the integrity of the membrane, which revealed complete failure. BMAC then was hired to provide design/specification documents, tender process, building permit application, and field review/contract administration. The system included a 2-ply SBS along with finishing pavers, cinder block retaining wall, landscaping and railings.
Building is a 4-storey wood-frame structure resting on concrete foundation. Podium/deck over commercial unit was concrete.
