BMAC has been engaged as the Building Envelope Consultant and Energy Advisor for a 117-unit townhome development in Fleetwood, Surrey, providing critical expertise from preconstruction through to completion. During the preconstruction phase, we conducted detailed design reviews of architectural drawings, identifying opportunities to enhance weather protection and thermal performance while maintaining the project’s aesthetic vision.
Through comprehensive energy modeling conducted during schematic design, we balanced performance targets with constructability, ultimately developing solutions that exceed BC Energy Step Code 3 requirements while remaining cost-effective.
Now in active construction, we perform field reviews of key building envelope elements. This end-to-end involvement from early design through construction ensures the development will deliver durable, energy-efficient homes that meet both regulatory requirements and resident expectations for comfort and sustainability.
